That Jacket

Yessssss. This coat was definitely worth the splurge. Normally real fur (and yes, that's real fur) makes us cringe a little, but how can you say no to that level of fabulous? And, really, it's so shiny. And plush. We just want to curl up in it like the kitty that died for that hood. (ok, it was a bunny. Or something.)

Love,
Bertha

This one's for the boys:
We just noticed this one: patterned shirt, patterned scarf, same color pallet.
It's kind of charming.

Those Boots!

These are absolutely stunning. The solid, substantial heel that tapers down, the rounded toe, the dramatic curve and laces, the chocolaty leather--excellent. It's somehow delicately Victorian and powerfully proletarian. We love them.

Veselka!

Veselka is a 24 hour Ukrainian restaurant located at 2nd ave and 9th st. It's been around since the area was Little Ukraine, and has survived one recession and hopefully another, you may have seen it in a movie lately.

The mural is (regrettably) for sale due to the hard times that we are all experiencing, so you
should stop by while it's still there.

We definitely recommend the pierogis, beef stroganoff, and the $6 Brooklyn Lager. For us to spend that much on a beer, you know it's good. Also, the baked chocolate custard. Also, just about everything else.

We'd love to show you a picture of the delicious borsht, but unfortunately we ate it all.

On the street: West 4th and University Place, respectively.
Notice: the zippered slippers on the left.

Two very dissimilar outfits, from 25 West 4th and Kimmel.
But they both have their merits, don't you think?

Love,
Bertha

Central Park! What better place to spend a sunny, Sunday afternoon?
